Atlanta's food truck scene punches well above the state's overall weight class. The city's Asian-American and African-American food cultures both show up on wheels in serious ways — Korean-fried-chicken trucks, soul-food trucks doing things that the brick-and-mortar restaurants don't dare, vegetarian operations running on a Sunday-supper cadence. Savannah's smaller scene leans coastal Southern (shrimp and grits, low-country boil), and Athens supports a college-driven truck culture that has produced a few breakout operators.
