New Hampshire's truck scene is small, friendly, and concentrated in Manchester, Portsmouth, and the seacoast. Manchester anchors the year-round operations — barbecue, tacos, the occasional New England seafood roll. Portsmouth's smaller scene takes advantage of the historic-tourism crowd and the summer beach traffic. Concord supports a modest state-capital lunch scene. The state's permissive regulations and proximity to Boston (without the Boston rents) have made New Hampshire an attractive launchpad for trucks; several Boston-area operators run a NH location for the lower overhead. The lobster roll and clam-shack tradition shows up on trucks at the seacoast.
